Exploring MCA Debt Settlement

MCA settlement means attempting to resolve an advance for less than the remaining balance. It's one possible path — with real trade-offs — and never a guaranteed result.

How MCA settlement generally works

A settlement is a negotiated agreement in which a funder accepts an amount — paid as a lump sum or over time — to resolve a balance. Funders consider many factors, including the business's finances, payment history, the strength of their contract position, and the cost of collection. They are not required to accept any offer.

Get it in writing

Any settlement should be documented in a written agreement from the funder stating the amount, payment schedule, what happens upon completion (including UCC termination and guarantor release), and what happens if a payment is missed.
